My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was beautiful, surrounded by nature and with easy access to hiking trails, but the room was in the basement and not as comfortable as expected. The service was satisfactory, and the dining experience was enjoyable. Overall, the place is showing signs of aging but remains a cozy retreat.

8.4/10

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, very close to Mt. Rainier, making it an excellent choice for exploring the Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park. The rooms, though not the largest and featuring tricky narrow stairs, were quiet and had a comfortable bed. However, the absence of a microwave was a downside. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with a nice restaurant nearby and a decent complimentary breakfast. The provided mini Google Home added a fun touch to the stay.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were not very large, with a two-story layout including a ladder to the bedroom. Despite the narrow stairs, the bed was comfortable and the room quiet.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch, with a friendly housekeeping team and a welcoming drink upon arrival.

The hotel's proximity to Mt. Rainier was excellent, offering easy access to the park entrance closest to the Paradise area. Additionally, the presence of a nice restaurant nearby and a good complimentary breakfast enhanced the stay.
Dining

The dining experience was really good, with well-displayed fresh croissants and a warm breakfast. However, the breakfast ending at 7:00 AM could be inconvenient for early hikers.

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although clean and cozy, were in the basement and not on par with the rest of the facility. Toting luggage up a steep flight of stairs was tough, especially with a bad back. The room wasn’t as comfortable as expected, and the hotel seems to be showing signs of age.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are nice, very clean, and comfortable.
Service
6.0
The housekeeping service was average, and the welcome drink was a nice touch.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic for visitors heading to Mount Rainier National Park or looking for a charming, antique feel. It's only a short drive away from key park areas like Paradise, making it convenient for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience could use improvement, but the homemade Belgian waffles were a standout. The main building is where you'll find the restaurant, offering good and plentiful options with great sausages.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel’s facilities are functional, but there is room for improvement to match the overall experience guests expect.
